The ABCB has announced that the NCC 2019 Amendment 1 will come into effect from 1 July 2020.
Two of the proposed changes are yet to be confirmed, those being as listed below;
- a new defined term, building complexity, that may be used in the future to identify buildings for which additional oversight is appropriate; and
- a new provision to require that a process be followed to improve the documentation for Performance Solutions.
The ABCB has also advised that they will not be defining the term ‘building complexity’ in this amendment.
